Tech to the rescue? What the technology and innovation ecosystem can bring to mitigate the current crisis
Watch the recording from our virtual event “Tech to the rescue?”, which took place on May 28, 2020.
We are in the midst of a unique crisis with, what will almost certainly prove to be, long-term social, economic, and political ramifications. However, there seems to be a silver lining to this cloud: the private sector, including the technology and innovation ecosystem, seems to be voluntarily mobilizing in order to mitigate the crisis. In this panel, we get a deeper understanding of what role the technology ecosystem can play from an academic, corporate, and startup perspective, speaking to representatives from both sides of the Atlantic. We delve into what efforts have been made, including what has succeeded and failed, and what the future might look like.

Joann Halpern, Director, Hasso Plattner Institute New York
